For the current project on my degree I have to look into the old styles of graphic design and processes that were used and put into an editorial piece, I'm particularly interested in the design industry before everything was easy to do sitting on a Mac. Looking through Vimeo at old typesetting videos I came across this gem, its a video of an old machine called the Linotron 505 from 1969, it seems so futuristic back then and even the commentary is really nostalgic.
Some of the imagery in the video is lovely and would look really futuristic back then, in this current project theres a lot of information and images that could be used inside the spreads, I really want to step out of my comfort zone in this unit and create a mental piece with some crazy layouts instead of my usual clean and slick layouts,
